Meet the team

Welcome to Brampton Dental Practice

May we extend to you a warm welcome to our website.

Brampton Dental Practice lies in the centre of Brampton village and has been established since 1985. Whilst we have grown over the years, we are still small enough to care. Our team prides itself in providing quality private dental care for the whole family, with a personal touch.

Why choose Brampton Dental Practice?

Our Aim

We aim to provide the quality dental care our patients want within a friendly and up to date environment, seeking to meet or exceed expectations. We want our patients to feel comfortable with their mouths.

Prevention

Prevention is the cornerstone of our approach. When problems arise, it is important that we understand the possible underlying causes. By talking to our patients we can help to motivate and facilitate beneficial change leading to long term stability and dental health.

Private Treatment

By being an entirely private practice, we are able to choose the length of time for our procedures, to enable us to do our best, without being rushed. This is very different to working to a set fee, where we would have to decide how much time we could afford to spend on each treatment.

Recent news

Brampton Team News

We wanted to let you know of some team news – successes, leavers and joiners:

Liz Muston – Dental Hygienist Sadly, after many years as one of the hygienist team, Liz Muston has decided it is time to hang up her scaling tool to concentrate on other interests. Liz will leave on 31st July.

“After 35 years working within the Dental profession, the last 20 of which has been with Mark, either here in Brampton or previously in St Neots, I have decided to retire from Dentistry so I can expand my Gardening Business, which I have been lucky enough to run alongside my role as a Dental Hygienist for many years now”.

“I would like to thank all my lovely patients I have seen over the years, along with the whole team at Brampton for making the last 20 years such a huge and enjoyable part of my career”.

We all wish Liz the best for her future and will miss her very much.

Grace Higgins – Dental Nurse Grace will be leaving us in early September as she has got a place at University to do the Dental Hygienist Course. The course will take a couple of years and, who knows, Grace may well return to the practice at some point in the future as a fully qualified hygienist.

Grace joined us in October 2021 fairly early in her career as a qualified dental nurse. Since being with us she has increased her knowledge and experience within many different areas of dentistry including working with our implant and perio specialist and is at the point of completing her IV sedation portfolio coursework to gain the qualification.

We wish Grace all the best wishes and good luck for her future adventures away from the practice.

Sophie Kitchener – Dental Hygienist

With Liz leaving, we had a real search on our hands to find the right person to come and join our team. Eventually, we found Sophie.

We are looking forward to welcoming Sophie joining the team in mid-September as our new Hygienist working on Monday’s and Tuesday mornings.

When not attending to patients’ teeth, Sophie is a keen musician who enjoys performing at local establishments and events and also a keen foodie who loves trying new foods and finding new restaurants to visit. Any time left after music and food, you’ll find Sophie spending time with family and friends and being sociable.

Beca Young – Dental Nurse

Beca has been part of the team here for just over 8 years and since returning from maternity leave in January has taken back the role of managing the implant and perio cases for our specialist, Fahd Saleh as well as regular dental nursing at the practice.

Prior to returning to work, whilst still on maternity leave, Beca undertook and passed the first part of the course to qualify to become an IV Sedation Nurse. Following the 2-day course, Beca has worked really hard to complete her portfolio of 20 cases of IV sedation required within 12 months to gain the qualification. We are hugely pleased to let everyone know that Beca has passed this second part of the IV Sedation Course and is now fully qualified.

Congratulations Beca!

The practice can now offer in-house sedation and if you’re a nervous patient who may benefit from this treatment, please contact our reception team to enquire how this might help you.

Practice Covid Protocols Update

COVID UPDATE FEBRUARY 2023
Whilst we are now becoming more acclimatised to “living with Covid” the practice has reviewed its policies on patient attendance if you are not feeling 100%. With immediate effect, we would like to ask that all our patients follow the guidelines below:

  • If you feel unwell before your appointment, please call the practice to discuss your symptoms. The reception team will speak to the clinician and take advice as to whether you should still attend for your appointment or if you need to be rebooked.
  • If you have developed a new cough/cold please phone us to cancel your appointment, unless you have a severe pain emergency.
  • If you have had confirmed covid in the last 10 days please do a test on the morning of your appointment, if you have a positive result, please cancel
  • Symptomless patients are no longer required to wear a face mask, unless you wish to do so.
  • Obviously, we do ask that you still give us as much notice as possible, ideally 48 hours, if you are feeling unwell but we do appreciate this is not always possible. Our reception team are also available to advise you if you are unsure whether you should keep your appointment, and we welcome you calling when this is the case.

Thank you for your continued co-operation and we look forward to seeing you at your next visit to the practice.

    A paperless future …

The Practice is starting a journey toward a more paperless future from now. The first phase of this will be that our patients will have online access to their personal and medical information and will be prompted to check this prior to their arrival at the practice via a link that is sent to them as part of the appointment reminder system by email or SMS text message. Phase two will commence by the start of July where all treatment plans for patients will be signed within the surgery on an electronic device with copies sent to patients by email.

During the implementation of these changes we would appreciate our patients’ understanding should there be any teething (pardon the pun) problems. .

Special Offer for existing Denplan patients

Our Denplan patients can have teeth whitening treatment for the reduced cost of £399 (usual price starting from £498). This offer runs for a limited period only. Please telephone the practice to book an appointment for a consultation on 01480 458100.

    • Scans and assessment for complicated cases
    • Advanced treatment for periodontal disease including loose teeth and receding gums
