Meet the team

Welcome to Brampton Dental Practice

May we extend to you a warm welcome to our website.

Brampton Dental Practice lies in the centre of Brampton village and has been established since 1985.

Whilst we have grown over the years, we are still small enough to care.

Our team prides itself in providing quality private dental care for the whole family, with a personal touch.

Why choose Brampton Dental Practice?

Our Aim

We aim to provide the quality dental care our patients want within a friendly and up to date environment, seeking to meet or exceed expectations. We want our patients to feel comfortable with their mouths.

Prevention

Prevention is the cornerstone of our approach. When problems arise, it is important that we understand the possible underlying causes. By talking to our patients we can help to motivate and facilitate beneficial change leading to long term stability and dental health.

Private Treatment

By being an entirely private practice, we are able to choose the length of time for our procedures, to enable us to do our best, without being rushed. This is very different to working to a set fee, where we would have to decide how much time we could afford to spend on each treatment.

Coronavirus Update – November 2021

We continue to work following our practice-specific protocols for patients and staff:

  • Mask wearing is still a requirement of attending this practice, for patients and staff
  • Temperatures are taken on patients’ arrival.  Staff also record temperatures prior to starting work
  • Covid-19 Disclaimer forms are still required to be completed by patients
  • Our main door is still locked – patients are required to call the practice on their arrival.
  • Staff take lateral flow tests at least twice per week

A question that we have been asked recently is “when is it safe for you to visit the practice if you are getting over Covid-19 or are coming out of a period of self-isolation?”

Any patient who fits into either of the above categories should not attend the practice for their appointment until they are 14 days past the last date of their isolation or diagnosis.  You must then take a negative lateral flow test within 48-24 hours prior to your appointment.

If you have any symptoms or are unsure, please contact the practice and speak to reception for advice or to rearrange your upcoming appointment.

Please also note that our policy on attending your appointment if you have a cold sore still remains the same, especially at this time of the year.

Team News

Beca Young

2022 will see a new life-chapter for Beca as she will start maternity leave on Christmas Eve.  Beca has been a member of the nursing team since joining us to complete her RDN qualification in 2015.  Everyone at the practice excitedly awaits the new arrival in early 2022 and we all wish Beca the best of luck during her temporary absence from nursing with us.

The team has also grown in size as we have taken on two new members – Madeleine Barclay and Grace Higgins.

Maddi joined us in mid-September as an apprentice dental nurse.  Most of the learning will take place at the practice as there is such a wealth of experience that will prove invaluable to Maddi’s training whilst working toward her qualification. You will, no doubt, meet Maddi during your visits to the practice as she will be working alongside our fully qualified team members for the next 18 months of her course.

In her spare time Maddi enjoys skiing and playing football.

Grace joined us at the end of October as a fully qualified dental nurse.  Grace will initially take over Beca’s duties whilst she is on maternity leave but is a permanent member of our nursing team.  Most recently Grace has worked in both general dentistry and orthodontics at practices in Cambridge but now enjoys a more leisurely “commute” to work being a resident of Brampton.

So, welcome to both our new team members!

Other News

Welcome to our newest member of the reception team, Julie Wren. Julie joins us and brings with her several years of experience in the dental industry, most recently at a dental laboratory. Prior to working at the dental lab, she had worked as a dental nurse and receptionist at a couple of other practices – including several years with Mark when he worked at a practice in St Neots.
Julie will work part-time which means we have a two person reception team at all times to give a first class service to patients when attending the practice for appointments.
In her spare time, Julie enjoys spending time with her two grandchildren and walking her dogs.

Special Offer for existing Denplan patients

Our Denplan patients can have teeth whitening treatment for the reduced cost of £399 (usual price starting from £498). This offer runs for a limited period only. Please telephone the practice to book an appointment for a consultation on 01480 458100.
