What is Denplan Essentials

  • Denplan Essentials is a preventive dental maintenance plan.
  • Lets you spread the cost of routine dental care via a fixed monthly payment.
  • No requirement for being “dentally fit” to join — you can sign up even if you have work that needs doing.

    • What’s included?

    The typical features of the Essentials plan are:

    Benefits What you get
    Preventive / routine care Regular dental exams/check-ups, hygiene visits (cleaning, scaling, polishing), X-rays as needed.
    Advice & therapy Preventive advice, guidance on oral hygiene, etc.
    Discounts on restorative treatment and dental whitening If you need fillings, crowns, etc. a 10% discount applies from the private charges.
    Supplementary insurance (optional) Provides cover for dental emergencies, injuries, sometimes when abroad. There is a charge of 60p per month for this

    What’s not included?

    Things you’ll generally have to pay for separately:

  • Major restorative dentistry: fillings, crowns, bridges, dentures etc
  • Cosmetic treatments (e.g. teeth whitening, orthodontics, implants)
  • Specialist referrals or treatments
  • Lab fees, sedation, prescriptions
